A plug today - if you haven’t seen A Colbert Christmas, Stephen Colbert’s Comedy Channel special, please do yourself a favour and find a way to do so. It’s patterned after those cheesy seasonal specials with a host in a patterned sweater occasionally breaking into songs with star guests, but the funny quotient, especially in the songs, is off the scale. I occasionally find the Colbert character tiring in his regular shows, but this one really works.
