Cyclic
Owing to an unexpected change of circumstances, rather than getting out of town for the day on Saturday and heading north into Marin as we’d originally planned, we found ourselves lacking vehicular transport and instead decided some exercise was a reasonable option. Heading to Fisherman’s Wharf, we stopped in at the Blazing Saddles outlet and three of us (The Mrs, our friend Anne and I) were soon heading out around the headland and towards the Marina and thence to the Golden Gate bridge. Total round trip for the run we did was eight miles, which we were all pretty pleased with.
It was a beautiful day, there were any number of people out running, cycling and enjoying the day, and a bit of healthy exercise actually felt quite pleasurable. The Mrs and I decided not to ship our bikes over from Blighty on the basis that we could either buy or hire here, and even with San Francisco’s fearsome hills, I think we’ve both decided that getting back into the routine of cycling again will be a good thing.

Sounds like your weekend cycle was better than the miserable and wet 20Km I did on Sunday morning…
Better scenary and better weather ;-)
